Meet Doyle Wayne Lawson - an Army Veteran who lost so much in the recent storms, but never stopped helping others. During Hurricanes Helene and Milton, Doyle used his only working truck to shuttle stranded residents to safety, deliver food, and provide life-saving support to residents on Sunset Beach.
He saved an elderly couple that was surviving in their attic without any food or water. There are dozens of stories just like this from residents of Sunset Beach, and all over the west coast of Florida.
Now, he needs our help. Doyle lost his working truck that saved so many. He is in need of our support to rebuild his life and get himself back on his feet.
At the Florida Veterans Coalition, we honor Veterans like Doyle—heroes who continue to serve even in times of personal loss.
His story was featured recently on Fox 13.
